One of the things about a successful college entrance exam-and an essay in general, I think-is that the question you're answering isn't immediately obvious. You don't go out and say, "The most important person in my life is..." or "The most memorable test that I overcame was..." When you start writing an essay, you also don't need to know the question you are answering. You just need to tell a good story.
